Hello JJMS Families,
It'due south hard to believe that the 2nd one-half of the yr is in full swing already, only even so, we've all been very busy!
While we have bound to wait frontward to also every bit a few school events, the month of March can be particularly challenging for students since the next scheduled days off are not until spring interruption, April xi – 15, and staying motivated tin be a challenge. Sometimes all we need is a good laugh with friends, a moment of meditation, or special time listening to our favorite music with friends; all of this does a torso & mind some good! Please remind your child(ren) how important it is to take care of themselves, fifty-fifty if they don't recollect anything is incorrect. Anyone can visit our JJMS Virtual Wellness Room here: https://jjmswellnessroom.weebly.com/
Cheers to the PTO the students do take a few events to look frontwards to!

In HomeBase, over the past few weeks, we watched a series of presentations on climate change and moved into providing insights into Black History Calendar month. We began with a video originally presented on CBS television's "Sunday Morning time" most Seneca Village, an African American center-class enclave on the site that Central Park in Manhattan now covers. We as well had presentations on the events in Trivial Rock, Arkansas in 1957, when Primal Loftier School was first integrated. This included news clips from that era and a recording of ane of the black students describing her experience. We ended the celebration of Blackness History Month with a tribute to some of the artists of the Harlem Renaissance, including Louis Armstrong and Langston Hughes.
Our Principal'southward Coffee meetings continue to serve every bit a neat platform to go on the lines of advice open up between the administration and the parents. I am very thankful for the time our families spend with usa. If you lot'd like any specific topics to exist covered in future coffees, please send me an email at jswiatowicz@klschools.org and y'all tin can e'er check out the PTO website at: https://jjmspto.membershiptoolkit.com/dwelling .
In partnership,
